How Named works

We ask Claude, Anthropic’s assistant, the questions customers ask, in plain words, with live web search turned on. We do not tell it who we hope to hear about, and we do not edit its answer.

What we record

For every question: the exact words asked, the date and time, the full answer, every web page it read, and the businesses it named in the order it named them. A second, smaller model lists those names; the answer itself is shown in full so anyone can check the list against it.

What a public page means

A page on Named reports what Claude said when we asked. It is not our ranking and not an endorsement. Answers change as the web changes, so every page shows when it was asked and keeps earlier answers.

Nobody can pay to be named

Not in Claude’s answer, and not on our pages. What we sell is information: the Named Report shows where a business lands across eight questions and what the assistant read to decide, and Named Watch re-asks the most important questions every week.

Why only Claude, for now

We publish only what we can ask and record ourselves, word for word. When we add another assistant, its answers will be labeled with its name.

If you are named and want something corrected
