“Who is the best HVAC company in Helena, Montana?”

There's no clear "best" HVAC company in Helena. The review sites I checked show only a handful of reviews for each local company, so no ranking is very reliable. These are the names that come up most often:

Most often mentioned

• Amp One Heating & Cooling: Yelp lists it as 4.2 (6 reviews) Serving Helena and the Surrounding Area Emergency services Free estimates. One reviewer said "Nick at Amp One is prompt, reasonably priced & willing to do what it takes to solve equipment issues." It also got a recent 5-star review on Angi, where the customer wrote that the technician found out what was wrong with my heater and got parts on there way fast nice respectful and reasonable priced. It's a Yelp sponsor, which helps it show up near the top. Phone: (406) 440-6383.
• Superior Heating & Cooling: 4.3 (14 reviews) Serving Helena and the Surrounding Area. That's one of the larger review counts for a local company on Yelp.
• Jaks Heating and Air: Rated 5.0, but from only one review. That reviewer said James, the owner came out personally to asses my situation.

Other options

• Intermountain Heating & Air Conditioning: locally owned and operated business serving the Helena, Mont. area since 1994. It has few reviews.
• 3 Brothers Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning: The most reviewed, but with mixed results: 2.4 (23 reviews) Serving Montana City.
• Reviews also mention All Temp Heating & Cooling, Ridge Heating and Cooling, Sleeping Giant HVAC and Ambient Air Solutions.

Before you hire someone:

1. Check Google reviews, which usually have more of them for Helena businesses than Yelp does.
2. Get two or three quotes, especially if you're replacing equipment.
3. Make sure the company is licensed and insured in Montana.
4. Ask friends and neighbors. In a town Helena's size, personal recommendations are often the most reliable guide.
