“Who is the best HVAC company in Livingston, Montana?”

No single company is clearly the best in Livingston. Most local review counts are small, so you shouldn't lean too hard on any one rating. These names came up most often with good feedback:

Strong candidates

• Cross Winds Heating and Cooling LLC: This is the strongest review record I found. It's a heating and air conditioning company in Livingston, MT that offers both residential and commercial services. Its site shows a 5-star rating across 28 reviews, with one customer calling the service "Customer service perfection."
• Comfort Systems of Montana: This family-owned HVAC company has been around since 1999 and serves Livingston. It says it's rated 4.9/5 and offers emergency service. That rating comes from its own website, though.
• Rick's Refrigeration (406 N 13th St): It has 5.0 on Yelp, but from only 2 reviews. One reviewer said "They show up on time, are reasonably priced, and do good work! The only HVAC company I'd use in the valley."
• Outhouse Heating & Plumbing: It has a 3.4 on Yelp from 5 reviews, and one customer said it handles their AC maintenance and furnace repairs and "They are great!"
• Montana HVAC Solutions LLC: It has good recent reviews on Angi and HomeAdvisor, but it's a newer business, in business since 2022.

Lower ratings: Graybeal's All Service HVAC has 3.2 (5 reviews) on Yelp, and Tri County Heating and Cooling has 1.0 (1 review).

What I'd do: Get quotes from two or three of these, such as Cross Winds, Comfort Systems and Rick's. Check that each one is licensed and insured, and ask how quickly they can come out in winter. Fast emergency furnace service matters a lot in Livingston. Neighbors or a local Facebook group are also good places to ask for recommendations in a small town like this.
