The full answer
No one vet is objectively "the best" in Livingston. It depends on your animal and what you need. These are the most-recommended options in my search, based on online reviews:
Small-animal and general practices
- Livingston Veterinary Hospital has 5.0 stars (10 reviews), with one reviewer calling them the "Most knowledgeable veterinarians."
- Sleeping Giant Animal Clinic at 4 Business Park Rd has 4.5 stars (15 reviews), the most reviews of the local options.
Old-school, practical care (good for working or farm animals)
- Dr. James O. Murray is at 5704 US Highway 89 S, Livingston, MT 59047, phone (406) 222-3723. One reviewer described him as "an old school vet who is reasonably priced, intuitive, and practical." He has only 2 reviews, though, and they're several years old.
Mixed reviews
- Colmey Veterinary Hospital has 3.2 stars (6 reviews).
Also nearby
- Shields Valley Veterinary Service is at 119 Fox Run.
Most of these practices have only a few reviews, so call ahead. Ask whether they treat your type of animal (pets, horses or livestock), whether they're taking new patients, and how they handle emergencies after hours.
